TKEES’ story began in 2009 on the island of Saint-Barthélemy. Designer Carly Burnett sought sandals that would feel as elegant as her favorite dresses while remaining “invisible” on the foot. Together with her husband Jesse, she created what the industry had been missing: flip-flops that feel like a “second skin,” enhancing the natural beauty of the wearer. Hence the brand’s tagline: “cosmetics for your feet.”

Carly is more than a designer — she is the voice of TKEES. Her refined minimalism and attention to detail define the brand’s DNA. Calling herself an “essentialist,” she creates only what is truly indispensable. Each pair of TKEES embodies a perfect balance between simplicity and perfection.

Since its inception, TKEES has adhered to the philosophy less is more. Rejecting fleeting trends, the brand focuses on longevity. Each pair is as relevant today as it will be a decade from now. TKEES exists beyond time: thin soles, soft leather, a palette of nude shades and thoughtful shapes. Versatility allows TKEES to transition effortlessly from the beaches of Saint-Barthélemy to the streets of New York.

Today, TKEES are worn by Beyoncé, Cameron Diaz, Khloe Kardashian, Amal Clooney, Sydney Crawford, Emily Blunt, Taylor Hill, Aubrey Plaza, Jessica Alba and countless other style icons. The brand has positioned itself alongside Manolo Blahnik — on a more minimalist and modern wave. TKEES is a trend that has become a cultural code.
The brand is available at Nordstrom, Beams Japan, Saks, Stylerunner, David Jones, Shopbop, Holt Renfrew, Breuninger and Bloomingdale’s.

The new SS26 collection builds on TKEES’ signature lines are: Nudes with 11 shades catering to a spectrum of skin tones, from porcelain to deep chocolate; Glosses with shiny models with a lacquer-like finish; Liners with subtle, graphic accents; Metallic Lily with this season’s “it-code” featuring square toes, delicate shimmer and architectural silhouettes.

In addition, TKEES introduces the Aqua line — the brand’s first waterproof interpretation of its iconic silhouette. Made in Portugal from ultra-soft rubber, they feel almost weightless on the skin while remaining resistant to sun, water and summer adventures. These sandals carefully preserve TKEES’ minimalist ethos — clean lines, a restrained palette and lightness of form — while enriching it with translucent and fresh shades.
TKEES tells a story of quiet fashion — where the focus is not on show-off, but on quality and comfort. Footwear that never shouts, yet always looks impeccable. A brand that remains true to itself while evolving alongside its wearer, offering pieces you truly want to live in.
