American Beauty Group introduces a brand where archaic sculpture meets conscious production
Minimalism, hand embroidery, one collection a year, and a pre-order system. Kaftans, dresses, tunics, suits in linen and cotton. Hand embroidery by local artisans. The entire process — from sketch to finished piece — in Athens. Greek Archaic Kori is now in the portfolio of American Beauty Group.
History and DNA: From a Family Tradition to 750 Boutiques

Founded in 2017 in Athens by Stavroula Giannoulatou, Greek Archaic Kori grew out of a family tradition of women’s tailoring that dates back to 1972. Today, the brand is represented in over 750 boutiques worldwide — and now, in the portfolio of American Beauty Group.

The brand’s name refers to the ancient Greek korai — sculptures of female figures that embodied balance, grace, and restrained strength. These very qualities define the DNA of each collection: kaftans, dresses, sundresses, tunics, and suits made of natural linen and cotton with handcrafted embroidery. The brand creates clothing that feels equally at home on a seaside terrace by day and at a candlelit dinner in the city by night.

Every piece carries a cultural code. Stavroula Giannoulatou does not quote antiquity — she continues it, translating sculptural logic into the cut and silhouettes of her collections.

Visual Code: The Architecture of Mediterranean Minimalism

The silhouettes are fluid and generous, with volume that follows the body’s movement. The colour palette is built around archetypal Mediterranean shades: white and ivory, deep Aegean blue, muted gold, and weathered bronze.

A defining feature of the pieces is the embroidery, handcrafted by local artisans who preserve traditional techniques and imbue each garment with something that cannot be reproduced on an industrial scale. The ornamental motifs draw from ancient Greek imagery — peacock feathers, the geometry of archaic friezes, botanical patterns. Each pattern is rooted in a clear cultural logic, yet fully integrated into a contemporary aesthetic, becoming the quiet, confident centre of the piece.

Production and Philosophy: Clothing as a Conscious Choice

The entire process — from the first sketch to the finished garment — takes place in Athens. The brand releases just one collection per year, operating on a made-to-order system. This conscious stance minimises the industry’s negative impact on the environment.

“Our goal is to create pieces in collaboration with local artisans, using the finest natural materials while maintaining an accessible price point. We strive to contribute to the promotion of responsible consumption.”

— Stavroula Giannoulatou
